“Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.” – Jack Kerouac

So I don’t usually like these “inspirational” quotes but this is one that runs deep for me. I get asked so much why I haven’t settled or bought a house etc and I find it hard to explain to someone who doesn’t think like me but I guess in the end this quote would just do it, maybe I should just carry it with me.

A bit about us……We are a little family living in the UK, I am the only female (sob) but have the bonus of my mum in law who more than makes up for our outnumbered status. There’s the smalls; Paddy who’s just turned 3, dislikes sleep, being hot or cold, animals and most foods…..he loves Paw patrol (ugh), telly in general, numbers, throwing attitude, making dens and swimming. Raffs our little firecracker, being 1 we aren’t too sure what he dislikes yet but his favourite things are: eating everything, beating his brother up, animals, books, jumping off things and playing fetch. Daddy (Ben) comes on a fair few adventures with us but not all (he also dislikes being too hot) as does Nanny Jayne as shes up for anything and huge fun and I just basically look for any opportunity to travel (in between full time work and having babies).

I decided to blog not because I am a good photographer, writer or glamourous person who looks incredible in these nice places, I certainly am not here to make people feel rubbish or jealous but to hopefully inspire people to try something different. We tend to travel to unusual places, partly to make our money stretch and partly to see a different way of life. If you want to try something new and need advice please get in touch……I love helping organise a trip.
